Hello and welcome to Auraganics! We are a mission driven company striving to deliver the highest quality organic plant-based remedies on the market. We have a no-tradeoffs approach to how we formulate our products, and everything we produce is developed using certified USDA organic ingredients all grown and processed in the USA. We take pride in using simple ingredients with no fillers, byproducts, preservatives, or any junk whatsoever. What we Offer
We currently offer a suite of organic CBD and functional mushroom tinctures offering a broad array of health benefits. All of our products are certified organic which means from soil to bottle everything our products come into contact with meets USDA organic standards.
Our CBD tinctures start life as USA grown certified organic grown hemp meeting all federal standards as outlined in the 2018 Farm Bill. The hemp is harvested and extracted using USDA organic approved methods, and mixed with organic MCT oil and organic peppermint oil.
Our mushroom tinctures are developed using USA grown USDA organic mushroom fruiting bodies. Through a proprietary dual-solvent, triple extraction organic process our tinctures are blended in a non-alcoholic formula with organic glycerin and various organic essential oil flavors to offer you a concentrated dose of USDA organic Lion’s Mane, Reishi, Turkey Tail and Cordyceps mushrooms in a great tasting tincture.
Why We Started This Company
In our market research on CBD and Functional Mushrooms we were alarmed at what was currently being offered by many companies, and our concerns can be summarized into four primary areas.
- Organic: What we found is that many of the companies claiming to offer organic products were not certified which is not only highly unethical but also illegal. Without a certification there is no way for consumers to verify if products are either grown or processed using organic methods. Consumers should be very wary of any company claiming offer organic products without a valid certification.
- Fillers: When it comes to mushrooms what we found is that the vast majority of products on the market and nearly everything you can find on store shelves are made using very little mushroom content. If you dive into how mushrooms are grown, mushroom spores are injected into bags full of grain such as rice or rye. What happens next is a white root-like system called mycelium takes over the bag and begins to “eat” the grain. Once the mycelium fills the bag, a hole is cut into the top of the bag and shortly thereafter mushrooms begin to grow out of the hole due to oxygen exposure. What consumers typically think they are getting in a mushroom tincture is extracted mushrooms, but what they are actually getting is a few small mushrooms and a large bag of grain mixed with mycelium. That entire bag is dehydrated, ground up, extracted and sold as a mushroom tincture when it would be much more accurate to call it a grain and mycelium tincture with a hint of mushroom listed somewhere at the bottom of the ingredients list. Things are done this way because it is significantly cheaper to produce mushroom tinctures using this method. That said, here at Auraganics we believe strongly in doing things the right way and being transparent about what’s in our products. Our mushroom tinctures are pure, extracted organic mushrooms with no grain or mycelium whatsoever. What that means is you are getting a significantly higher quality product from Auraganics than nearly everything else you will find on the market.
- Lack of USA grown options: A small part of the mushroom market produces mushroom fruiting body tinctures or capsules without mycelium, but even then nearly all of the companies making products this way are using Chinese grown mushrooms for their products. Not only does this open the door to a long list of potential toxins, but it is environmentally unsustainable to ship mushrooms halfway around the world to the United States. The largest company selling mushroom fruiting body extracts in the United States uses exclusively Chinese grown mushrooms, and does so because of the significant cost reduction allowed by growing mushrooms overseas. Here at Auraganics we use exclusively USA grown mushrooms and hemp because we believe products grown locally are not only better for you but are also more sustainable for the environment.
- Flavors: Most flavors you will find mixed into tinctures on the market are primarily seed oil based with a few drops of flavored oil mixed in. It’s done this way because it’s cheaper to produce, and to make matters worse labeling requirements don’t require the seed oil to be listed on a finished product label. For example, if we had chosen to use an organic peppermint flavor that was made from industrial seed oil mixed with peppermint oil, all we would have been required to list on the label was peppermint flavor or natural flavor with no mention of the seed oil. As a company, we refuse to compromise on ingredients and even though it costs more to produce we are committed to using pure ingredients with no fillers or unnecessary ingredients whatsoever. When it comes to flavors for our products, we use pure, organic essential oils which are the purest form of flavoring available. This ensures our products are not only good for you, but also taste great!
